Thank you for visiting The Immigration Channel, my personal blog on the state of U.S. immigration.
I have been involved in immigration law for almost 25 years, dating back to my days as a summer intern in an immigration practice while I was an undergraduate student. While I swore back then that I’d never make immigration law my career, I found myself pulled deeper into the field with each passing year of undergrad and law school. As an attorney, I’ve now practiced immigration law exclusively for the past 15 years, and I still find the field (and related dialogue) as interesting and lively as ever. I currently practice law as the Managing Partner of Goel & Anderson, LLC in Reston, Virginia, where I’m blessed to work with wonderful professionals who genuinely care about immigration and the impact that our work has on the lives of our clients.
Even before launching The Immigration Channel, I was an active speaker and writer on immigration matters. I’ve been interviewed on immigration issues by media outlets such as the NBC Nightly News, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Associated Press, CNN.com, ComputerWorld magazine, the Times of India, India Abroad, and others. I’ve also appeared as a speaker on immigration issues at industry meetings and trade association conferences nationally and internationally.
I have been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association for many years, and am fortunate to have been selected for inclusion in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers, a publication that conducts independent research to identify preeminent lawyers in the field. I’m also a member of the Technology Association of America’s Immigration Policy Committee, the Compete America coalition, and the International Bar Association.
I appreciate your interest in The Immigration Channel. I hope that you’ll find value in my observations and comments, and will take the opportunity to engage in dialogue through this medium.
Thanks-
Vic Goel
